Im a Mommy!!!

A fur babies mommy that is!
(I had ya a little fooled didn't I!)

Justin and I have been wanting to get a dog for a very long time now!
Now that we are both living in the same place our dream could finally become a reality!
Justin has never had a dog, or any other pet for that matter, because his parents wouldn't let him, so as you can imagine he reallllly wanted a dog! He has always loved loved loved bulldogs for as long as I can remember but he still loves about any dog he see's so preference really wasn't an issue when we decided to started to think about getting a dog.
Saturday night Justin and I were looking online at dogs in pounds around our area and decided that the next day we would go to the pound here in Stillwater just to look and see.

On our way to the pound we saw a guy selling some puppies in a parking lot by the road (sounds kinda sketchy but its a pretty normal thing here in Oklahoma) and like any right minded man would do with a woman yelling "Pull Over!! Pull Over!! Lets Go See What They Look Like!!!", Justin did. Once we walked up and saw the little puppies I was already in love! Justin asked what kind of dogs they were and the guy told us she is a bulldog and pitbull boxer mix. Right then I had the feeling we would not be leaving with out a puppy!
We played with those little pups for quite awhile and fell in love with a beautiful little girl with brindle and white fur. Turns out this little lady was the man selling her's favorite and so her price was higher than the other three but we knew she was more than worth it!

After she was officially ours we took our little puppy straight to Pets Mart. We must have been pretty obvious new parents because a dog trainer employ came up to us as we were staring up at kennels with faces of complete wonder, nervousness, happiness, and cluelessness and asked if we needed help. We then started asking any kind of question involved with puppies imaginable and luckily Beth from Pets Mart knew her stuff like no bodies business!
We left with a kennel, a mattress for the kennel, a orange color and matching leash, two toys, three bags of treats and a bag of food. I'd say we pretty much covered all the basics and we were ready to spoil our little princess.

It took us a while to pick out her name but as we were checking out we decided on Karley. Karley Marie  Kanipe to be exact!
Now Justin and I are proud puppy parents and we could be happier to now have a little plus one! Bringing her home, taking her to potty, playing non stop, chasing each other around the house, its all a major event now. Oh and let me tell ya I have never been so camera ready in my life! My Iphones memory is already half way full with pictures of Karley!
She's just soo precious isn't she?!?! I can already prepare you with the fact that Miss. Karley is going to become pretty popular on this her blog! So just be ready for Raids of Orange to go up about ten levels of cuteness!

I hope you had a very happy weekend and your Monday is spectacular!!

I know mine will be when I can get back home to that little darling!

Daddy's Girl

Happy Fall!!!
and
Friday!!

I think this has to be one of the best Fridays ever with it being the first day of Fall and the start of my much needed weekend!!

Anywho some of you might remember me saying something about my daddy-o coming to visit me yesterday...

Well he did come and we had a Great night together!

I am a complete Daddy's Girl and I have been since day one basically!

My Dad and I pretty much have the same personality and so I think thats what make us click so well.
(I am not denying I have several qualities like my mom and we click in our ways too but that is a whole other post)

To start our evening off my dad took me to one of my favorite restaurants here in Stillwater called Eskimo Joes!
Have you ever heard of it or been there?! If you haven't you have to go! and let me come with you! ;)

My dad order the Fowl Thing (chicken sandwich) and when it came out it was HUGE!

(Im telling you Im not exaggerating)

This is my Daddy ready to eat the massive thing!

I had a burger and some of the best fires ever! I don't know why but I have a strong obsession with Joe's french fries and ranch. I think I would eat them everyday if possible!

I had meant to ask for our waitress to take our picture together but It was a little busy and I didn't get the chance :/ next time I guess!

After our super yummy dinner we went back to my apartment to change and get ready to run around campus.

A little over a year ago my dad really started to go into this health kick and started working our a lot. He wasn't over weight or unhealthy in my opinion but it was just something he really wanted to do.

His dad, my Grandpa, passed away when I was just a year old from heart problems and I think my dad wants to make sure he really takes care of him self so he can make sure he will be around for a long time! Which I am more than proud of him for doing!

He actually lost a lot of weight (even though there wasn't much to loose in the first place) and he has stayed pretty detected to his new lifestyle.

Anyway the point of that story is we ran two and a half miles together and let me tell you this 41 year old man complexity put me to same! As embarrassed as I should be I really am not because I am just gleaming with pride! He is a beast and there is no other way to put it.

After our run my dad really wanted to get Ice cream (oh the irony) so we did.

It was a great reward in my opinion especially because i had PUMPKIN ICE CREAM with white chocolate chips!

ooh it was sooo yummy!!

In conclusion we had a perfect Daddy and Daughter night!
(Thank You Daddy!)

Anyone else out there a Daddy's Girl?!

Now my dad is off an gone back home and I am off to have a great weekend!!

I hope you all have a very happy weekend! and Ill see yall Monday!

Little Sister

Hello My Lovely Blogging Buddies!

I hope all had a wonderful weekend!

I know a lot of us spent it remembering 9/11 and honoring those who died and rescued that day! I thought they did a wonderful job with the memorial services and programs! I cant believe it was ten years ago since I saw that second plane, the buildings fall, smoke coming out of the pentagon and all the civilians and service men covered in ashes and blood. I remember that day with extreme vividness and I honestly still tear up to this day thinking about it! I just have remember though that through the tragic event our country was bonded even closer and became stronger than ever in a time of need and desperation. Its a day that makes me realize how truly proud I am to be an American!
-------------------------------------------
Along with remembering 9/11 my family had some celebrating to do this weekend but before I tell you why I have someone that I would like to introduce to you today...

This little chica is my little sister <3

Her name is Kinslee but I like to just call her Kins

Today she is turning 14!
(Which honestly kinda freaks me out! She's supposed to stay a little pigtailed 5 year old forever right?!?)
(also hints the celebrating my family and I partook in!)

Just 14 years ago I was only five and I didn't really understand what was going on besides the fact that Mommy and Daddy had to go get my baby sister and I got to stay with my grandparents in something called a waiting room with all the new toys and Beenie Babies that my parents surprised me with in the car as we went to the big pink hospital!

I remember we left our house really early in the morning (it was still dark outside) It was a little bit of a drive and the whole time my parents kept telling me how much they loved me and told me all about my little sister and what it was going to be like when she got here! Even though I didn't really grasp the whole thing with full understanding I was pumped to be a BIG sister!! I was even wearing a  t-shirt that confirmed my upgrade from being and only child!

When we got to the pink hospital (aka Saint Francis in Tulsa) My Grandmama Jean and Papa where there and after sitting on the counter top where the desk lady sits at for what felt like forever while the grown ups talked we went to this big room. Mommy sat in a big magic bed that moved by itself and had cool rails that helped me clim up on the bed. My family all just chilled forever and I claimed Uno champion agains all of my family members!

Then later that day the Doctors came in and My grandparents took me out of the room and told me we were gonna go to the waiting room while my parents go get my sister. So off we went! Having the attention span of a five year old I quickly made it through the activities in my Big Sister gift bag and then my grandparents had to come up with several new activities like exploring the hospital halls, riding the elevator, going to the gift shop, and stopping my the cafeteria.

Finally they took me back to the big room we were all in before and we were waiting for my Mom, Dad and new Sister to come back. As my mom was being brought back in a rolly bed my dad told me to not look at my mom and to just sit back for a minute. I was so confused and of course I looked at her even though I was told not to! She was crying, a lot and my new sister was no where in site!

I now know that My mom delivery was not a smooth one at all. There were several complications and It got to the point where the Doctors asked my Dad whom they should save, my mother or sister. I don't know why but it got to a point where they thought either my Mom or my Sister was going to die. Thankfully through Gods hands things got better and my sister pulled through and entered the world while my mom was still alive and well!

Kins is a miracle baby to say the least! and I am more than a thankful big sister she did! I remember after a while my mom calmed down and stopped crying and the mood turned into pure happiness and smiles. Then this little clear box was rolled in and inside it was this little baby. A baby about as small as my teddy bear. My parents then introduced me to Kinslee my little baby sister!

I remember the first time I hold her, I was so scared I wasn't strong enough to hold her by myself! She was so tiny and I really didn't want her to cry. Thankfully the whole thing went over smoothly and I officially understood what being a big sister was! I had this new friend and person to protect from the world!

Over the past 14 years I have seen that tiny little baby turn into one of the most beautiful and kind hearted girl I have ever met! Kins is more than caring and would drop anything to help others! And even though we have had our sibling moments and sometimes push each others button way to far I would never ever wish for anyone else to have as my sister!

I love you with all of my heart Kins and I will always be here for you!! You are such an amazing young lady and I cant wait to see you grow up and become the amazing woman your going to be!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE SIS!!!!

Do any of you have any younger siblings and remember the day you became the BIG sis/bro?!
I would love to hear your story if you do!!

Have a very happy Monday ya'll and please don't forget to share some birthday blog lovin to my sister!

XO
