My Wonderful, Amazing, Glourious Vaca!!

Sooo I Lied.....

Have yall been wondering where in the world i have been?!

Well I wish I could say I've been off on a glorious vacation or that I was kidnapped for a almost week long shopping spree but my disappearance was much less than happy and exciting. 

I was gone because right now I look like this

okay not exactly like that because I have a human face but the ratio of cheek size to the face size is just about right.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out!!

Before I had my surgery I had heard that either I would do great and it would be like nothing happened or it would be supper horrible and I would almost die.

Sadly I was not a lucky winner to pull the "this is nothing" card. 

One.) I don't do well on Anastasia at all. 

Two.) I have a HUGE fear of needles especially when they have anything to do with going into the crease in my arm (thats a whole another story for later... lets just say I was traumatized as a child)

Three.) All of my wisdom teeth were deeply impacted

Four.) Before the Dr. even introduced himself he walked in looked at my x-ray and said "oh man! You're definitely gonna on a two week recovery plan.

(ummm two weeks?! not what I was planning!)

So yeah all of these things combined didn't exactly add up to be the greatest moment of my life yet. And trust me I wish I was exaggerating. 

Luckily I am finally able to be a normal sain human being (I am finally off my oxicodonx...lets just say know one should have to see me while under its influence.)

Also I have been able to upgrade from a liquid diet to a soft food diet!

Oh and the one thing that I have found to be one of the worst things about this whole ordeal is not being able to drink out of a straw!! Yes straws, you never know how much you love straws until you cant use them anymore.

Okay Okay Ill end my complaining and pity party now!

I'm Keeping My Promise!

See I told you I would be back today!!

And I have to tell you allll about my week!!

Monday: I spent the day at home making pillows with my mom! My couch was in desperate need of some bling and I had found the perfect fabrics at Hobby Lobby!!

Tuesday: I was back to the grind of school again! In class basically from 8:30am to 10:30pm!

Wednesday: I had class and then a little party at my house for the interior design girls! It was Pizza and Movie Night! A lot of girls were busy but five super awesome girls ended up coming and we had a great time! We each made our own mini pizzas and I made cake pops and watermelon lemonade! We ate our hearts out and talked till we dropped!

Thursday: I had class and then went to the OK State verse Arizona game!! I had a good time with everyone and the Cowboys beet some booties!! woo hoo!

Today: I had class and hung out with a dear old friend of mine! We had lunch and then went window shopping and said "if only I had a million dollars" about a million times! ha Then we went back to her lovely little house and I played with her son (aka my handsome little buddy) for a while!

Isn't he just the cutest little man you've ever seen?!

So beautifuls that has been my week and why I temporarily disappeared!

I have not gotten to read, comment, or reply to anyone in over a week :( and I am so sorry about that!

This weekend though I am planning on doing all my catching up!!

Yayy!! So I cant wait to see what wonderful things you have all been up to!

Best.Weekend.Ever.

Hello sweet friends!!

First things first, I missed y'all yesterday and I am so sorry I didn't post! 

This whole moving to a new town and starting school at a new university is kinda taken over my week days but once I get in the grove of things I'll be better! I promise! :)

Now I have to tell you about the best weekend ever!!

 (It was this past weekend to be exact)

The very best part of my weekend was that guy coming to visit me for the whole weekend!

(aka my man Justin)

He got in just in time for us to go to College Fest Friday night! Ill be honest, if he wouldn't have been there I don't think I would have loved going so much. It was just so nice to have him there and just be able to walk by his side with my hand in his! (I have been missing him a whole bunch being here in Stillwater with out him) 

Remember when I mentioned College Fest last Wednesday?  Well that was this past weekend and let me tell you it was awesome!! College fest is a big even that lasts Thursday-Saturday on the outskirts of Stillwater. They have a big stage outside in the middle of a field type area and different country singing bands play while a bunch of us college kids just chill and have a good time. Also there is a country dance club called the Tumbleweed (the place that hosts the events) and after the bands stopped playing everyone goes in there to two step the night away!

My favorite part of the whole event was the dancing! Justin and I are not the best in the world at it but I like to think were pretty good! We haven't really learned how to do a bunch of spins and things like that but we are planning on taking classes when he gets back home for good! We had such a good time moving around that dance floor and I feel like it went by so fast because I was having so much fun! 

After that main event we went to a friends house to hang out with some of our good friends and we just chilled and talked until the wee hours of the mornings. Then we all went our separate little ways and thankfully slept in! (aka sleeping in for me is sleeping until 10) 

Saturday is when the second part of the best weekend ever took place. 

Justin and I decided to have the whole day as just an "us" day! We went to lunch and then walked around to a few OSU shops. Justin ended up buying us both the 2011 game day shirt which I can not wait to wear! (he more than spoiled me this weekend) 

After that we went grocery shopping! I had a blast doing that with him! We got some things to make dinner and then he ended up spoiling me again and stocking up my kitchen! 

We then went back to my place and made dinner together! I never realized how much fun it can be to cook a meal with the one you love! We just enjoyed doing such a simplistic everyday thing together and really made the most out of the moment! I was actually a good blogger and we took several photos of our dinner making skills...

Justin kinda had an accident with the ranch and pretty much dumped half the bottle on his plate.

Its a good thing he loves ranch and eats it with everything!

Our first meal at my place, our first meal to completely cook on our own...

After our wonderful meal we proceeded to have some chocolate pie and watch a movie. It was so relaxing and I really enjoyed just cuddling up with my man for a while!

The next day we ended up driving back to Tulsa so that he could get his truck and so he could go back to Missouri. I didn't want him to leave again :( but he only has one month left before he is done and he is going to be back next weekend for the season opening football game!!

That right there was my best weekend ever, all thanks to my wonderful boyfriend! 

We always have so much fun being together and being ourselves! He makes me feel so beautiful for simply being me and I am so blessed for that! I don't know what I would do with our that man! haven't

I hope you all are doing great and I promise I will try to get my act together soon! I haven't really gotten to read anyones posts the past week and i haven't really gotten to reply to comments either but I cant wait to catch up with all of you pretties!

Weekend Happenings

Hello Beauties!

 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

 

I had a very productive weekend working, doing some DIY projects for my apartment, working on a project for my summer class, and spending time with my family!

 

On Saturday I went to Habitat for Humanity, which was quite a bit of fun! Habitat for Humanity is a organization in Tulsa that helps people in the community with rebuilding, renovating, and cleaning homes and other organizations. Also they have a big shop/warehouse with all kinds of household items like doors, light fixtures, kitchen cabinets, paint, sinks, windows, wood, etc that had been donated or brought from a project habitat for humanity has worked on.

 

Do you have a Habitat for Humanity in your town?

 

It was my first time to go to a place like this it reminded me of a thrift shop but in a Lowe's form.

After about an hour and a half I walked away with all of this!

I can not wait to show you what I am going to do with it all! Just know the next time you see these items they will not look at all the same!

 

On Sunday I woke up bright and early! (It wasn't actually bright at 5am though more like pitch black) I had work at 6am for the fall floor set at Fossil! I don't know if any of you have ever worked in retail but if you have you understand how big a season change floor set is!

 

We had so much shipment (new clothes) it took 6 hours just to get it ready! Then another 6 hours to get the men's side of the store done! (I'm not sure how long the women's side took since I didn't work that shift but I bet ya it took another 6 or 7!)

Here is you inside look into the starting process of a floor set! It is a complete mess! (don't worry those clothes are on a protected tarp!)

To finish up my Sunday I had a date with my Grandmama Jean

We went out to lunch at Olive Garden and then had our nails done!

And that was my weekend!

P.S. I didn't really get to have a lot of time to reply to emails and check out some of your blogs like I have promised but I will! Tonight as I am watching the Bachelorette and eating some M&Ms I will also be sitting here on blogger to catch up with all of you! :)

 

A catch-me-up on the Now

Well Now that you kinda know me and what I’m all about I figured I would give you a little update of what is going on right NOW in my life. This way my random thoughts might make a little more since from this post on! Lol


So… right now it’s obviously summer (like in your face obvious here in Oklahoma where it was 104 on Monday!) and summer for me isn’t really all tan lines and floating on a raft in a pool. I am working two jobs so that I won’t have to work during the school year. My 8-5 week job is as an assistant at the company my Dad works at. (He is awesome and put in a good word for me and helped me get the job) My weekend job is at Fossil as a sales associate. I love working there and started back in January, when I got my assistant job I just couldn’t leave and so they graciously are letting me a weekender! I am also taking a summer class at a local community college, where I spent my last school year, just to get ahead. OSU will be my third college to attend and I plan to graduate from there. My freshman year I went to a small private University called Oklahoma Christian then I changed my major and decided to come home and to save money and went to the community college. As you can imagine I am extremely excited to be going back to a University! I will be moving August 13th into my very first apartment! So I have been shopping and crafting away for my little place. Don’t worry I will share all the cute and fun things I do! In fact look for a sneak peak in the next week!


As for my Airman, he is in Missouri on an Army base for tech school learning how to be a civil engineer. He graduated from basic the first week of May and actually got to come home before going to MO. He left two weeks ago today and he will officially come back home the first week of October! When he gets back he will be coming to OSU and we will finally be going to the same school for the first time since we graduated! We actually have gotten to talk/text almost every day since he has left which is just heaven compared to basic (where for two months we only were able to communicate through snail mail letters) Some days we don’t get to talk long because we both have so much going on but we make up for it! Like this morning I woke up to a wonderful little message on my facebook that said “Thank you babe for all you are! I somehow seem to always find my smile when I think of you!!” Isn’t that the sweetest thing ever?! It totally made my day! Anwyway he now gets the weekends off! Since this weekend is a holiday weekend he even gets to come HOME!! I am so excited to see him I can hardly stand it! I know two weeks isn’t a very long time to miss someone a lot but I miss that guy like crazy! (One of these days I will have to tell you all our little love story! I may be biased but it’s a cute one)


Anyway I think that you all are pretty up to speed now! I’m sorry I have another long post but there’s just so much to share! If you made it down to this sentence then thank you so much for reading and know I think you are AWESOME!
