Hello Pretty Pumpkins!

(Im not saying anyone is fat, I just like the term of endearment. Just to clear that up.)

I have to admit im in a bit of a quandary today.

For me there are two great link up parties on Thursdays that I just absolutely love!

So I have deiced I am just going to alternate each week between the two that way in a way I am never missing out!

(Sorry if I am boring you at this point)

I honestly don't have enough Awkward and Awesome moments to share this week so I am saving them up for the next.

It's Okay...



...to leave my nails in need of a major paint job and saying "I really need to paint these! I'll do it tonight!" every time I glance at them everyday for a week.


...to get a little excited that I got A+ on both of my exams this week!


....to eat frozen eggrolls for lunch everyday because  1. it's the only easy/quick thing I have left in the frezeer and 2. they are just soooo yummy!


...to be so excited to see my Daddy!! (I'm a daddy's girl!) He is coming down for work today and tomorrow and so we are planning on having dinner and taking a light run through campus tonight!


...to have a MILLION new shows stared on hulu! There are way to many good new t.v. shows on! *sigh* if I only had the time!


...to still not fully understand how twitter works


...to never have had a myspace. (I just went from xanga to facebook and skipped that whole thing)


...to "threaten" the receptionist/assistant manager about maintenance being done in my apartment since it had been a month and a half since I have needed things fixed. (it worked.)


...to skip my Lifespan Human Development class to go to a Creative Workshop by Basia Szkutnicka a designer from the London College of Fashion! (I mean seriously! who wouldnt want to skip to listen to someone talk with a british accent for two hours?!?)

There you have it! It's Okay! :)

Awkward and Awesome: Take Three

Hello!

How are you lovely little dumplings doing today?!

I want to start off this post by saying thank you so much for all the blog lovin yesterday! Love at First Pin is now my most popular post! Woot woot! You all truly made my day!

I hope you all will love today’s post too because I am super excited for Awkward and Awesome Thursday! It has been awhile since I have attended this party and I am super happy to be joining in today!

Here are my awkwards and awesomes for today...

AWKWARD:

1. Do you remember me saying yesterday that it was 112 degrees outside?

Well that was completely true and I took a picture of it with my phone to prove it to you!

It was so hot it melted my poor little plastic flowers in my car! (I haven’t told you yet, but I drive a VW Bug…bugs how flower vases in them…this is why I have flowers in my car.)They look so awkward hanging down and being all floppy like therefore I decided I would take a picture of them to share in this awkward and awesome post. While I was taking the picture an even more awkward thing happened! This guy saw me in the obvious act of taking a picture in my car! Haha He stopped and watched me and in result he is now a part of my awkward photo!

Do you see him?! 

 2. When you are eating and someone asks you a question the moment you put food in your mouth. If that part isn’t awkward enough, what usually takes you 20 seconds to chew all the sudden takes 5 minutes! Haha Why is this?! It happens to me ALL the time!

 3. When you’re microwaving your lunch at work and there is a line of people waiting on you because there is only one microwave.

 Somehow I always end up being the first person to get my lunch going and I then there are always at least five people waiting for my meal to get done. Let me tell ya, five minutes is a long time ofawkwardly waiting for that beeper to save you from impatient hungry stares! And to make it even more awkward I sometimes have those meals that have you cook them for a little bit then take it out, stir it, and put it in to cook some more.

 4. That I got a little too “bold” happy with today’s post… Is it a little over the top that I have bolded every time I say “awkward” and “awesome”?

AWESOME:

 3. I move in 9 days!! I know you are probably sick and tired of me talking about it, but I am just so darn excited! Therefore you can expect a daily count down until I move into my awesome apartment! ;)

Take...To?...Too?.. oh TWO!

Hello everybody! It’s time for take two of Awkward & Awesome Thursday! yay! Last Thursday feels like it was seriously only yesterday! This week has gone by soo super fast! Craziness just Craziness!

Awkward

1. So for some reason every time I go get some coffee at work I get the last of the pot and because I am so nice I always start a new one for the next person that wants coffee. Here is the dealo though, there is never any coffee to make some more so I always end up walking to every little kitchenette around the building (there’s two on each floor) trying to get some. Finally I got tired of it so I took a few from each one resulting with my arms full of deliciousness (aka coffee) (They come in these pre-measured packs and so one pack = one pot of coffee. it’s cool) My last stop was the third floor, I work on the first floor, and I always take the stairs just to feel a little less lazy. You should also know I have a fear of falling down stairs, I don’t know why but I just do. So on my victory “I have lots of coffee” one man parade down the stairs my big fear almost came true! I lost my balance and immediately grabbed onto the handrail (aka the life raft in a stairwell) and in result of me saving my life I dropped ALL the coffee!  Just as I recollected myself and began to pick up the precious little packs the big guy of the house and a whole group of other people behind him were coming up the stairs. When I say big guy I mean like the OWNER of the company! He looked at all the coffee all over the place and then at me with a “what the hell are you doing” look proceeded to make some joke, that I didn’t hear which made everyone with him start laughing at me. After all that they all helped me pick up the mess so that was nice but it was defiantly winner for the one and only on the awkward list today!

Oh and

1.5 English is my least favorite subject in school! It always has been and probably always will be! I am the worst speller in the world and I am not the best at grammar either which might explain if you ever see some weird words and sentences on here! I'm sorry about that!! It's a little embarrassing sometimes! I don't really like to nitpick my post because I like having the rawness of my thoughts come out; therefore there are things that I might miss or not completely realize I have messed up. So if you don't mind you can do 1 of three things: 1. Just laugh and try to figure out what I am meaning/saying 2. Just laugh and tell me so I can fix it or 3. Think "how did this chick graduate elementary school?!" and include either number 1 or 2! Thank you!

Awesome       

1.       The kitchenette on my floor now has enough coffee stocked to last us three weeks!!

2. Over on Ashley's blog, The Shine Project, she had a wonderful guest, Casey Wiegand, who has a "How to make your own blog button" lesson post today! This completely made my day because I have been trying to figure out how to make one of those cute little things! So thank you Ashley and Casey!!

3. My grandma took me out shopping for some of necessities I still needed for my apartment last night! She is a sweetie and now I am almost all set up and ready to move! woo hoo!

4. My grandma also took me out to dinner last night at olive garden! I ended up with some leftovers and it made an awesome lunch!!

5. I am going on vacation tomorrow! I’ll give you all the details in my post tomorrow ;)

6. My little sister made some Amazing chocolate cover strawberries (and a few blueberries lol) earlier this week! They were delish!

I hope everyone is having an awesome day! And for those of you who do not work today and are getting to have your dates with Mr. Sun, know I am incredibly jealous!!

Awkward and Awesome take one

YAY It’s Thursday which means the weekend is almost here!! And it means I keep seeing these Awkward and Awesome post that look like a lot of fun! So I’m going to joining in! I will admit I am just one of those people that doesn’t find things awkward very often, like something has to be universally awkward for me to feel that way! Haha but I am just gonna have fun with this!!

AwkWarD

1.     I went to the Dentist today for just my normal 6 month check up and cleaning and I was the first appointment of the day. I walked in at 7:50 for my 8:00 appointment and when I opened the door I ended up barging in on the whole office singing happy birthday for one of the ladies that worked there. They were right in the middle of the song and they all just stopped and looked at me. Then they all quickly said Happy Birthday to the woman and dispersed. So to the woman in the cheetah scrubs whom birthday was today I am sorry for interrupting and ruining your birthday song!

2.     Also does anyone else find it kinda awkward that even though your hygienist has their hands in your mouth they always try to carry on a conversation with you?! Mine tries to every time I go! She is so sweet too but it’s not even that she’s just making small talk it’s that she keeps asking open ended questions! How am I supposed to reply to anything that I can’t answer with in a “uuhuu”(yes) or “uhuh”(no) because my mouth is wide open and I can’t close it to answer because she’s poking and scrapping on my teeth!

3.     Introducing yourself to someone twice… in the same week! Yep I’ve done it! Haha I’m still new to Zeeco (my week day job) and there are just so many people it’s hard to keep up with who I have met! Anyway I guess I just had met a guy on Monday and then yesterday I introduced myself to him again. He nicely told me about when we met Monday and then laughed at me. I’m just glad he thought it was funny!

AWESOME!

1.     No cavities in this lady’s mouth! My dentist said I have a pretty smile and that my teeth are looking good! That’s always a nice thing to hear AND now my teeth feel awesome! I love that super duper after the dentist clean feeling!

2.     MiO!! Have you seen the little MiO commercials on TV? On the bottle it says “liquid water enhancer” in translation... It this awesome flavor stuff that you put in your plain ol water to make it taste yummy! I tried the sweet tea flavor yesterday and it’s really good! Like I don’t understand how it does it! It smells like soy sauce in the bottle but taste like a good ol cup of sweet tea! It blows my mind! (Yes I smelled it! but only because my boyfriend smelled it first and told me it smelled like soy sauce... I just had to see if it was true!)

3.     4th of July is almost here! I LOVE the 4th of July! I really enjoy spending time with friends and family just chilling and having a good time! Grilling out and watching fireworks and all the red white and blue… It’s just such a great holiday! Also I get to have another “I’m so proud of my boyfriend moment” because of him serving our country along with all the other awesome men and women that have served and are serving! Being a military girlfriend has for sure turned me into a much more patriotic person than I was before and I love it!

4.     My Airman is coming home TONIGHT! I cannot wait to see him and give him a big kiss and hug! I love that man to pieces!
